This video explores my love for movies and how it relates to my interest in advertising

Besides advertising, I spend much of my free time acting in stage productions. Ever since I stepped on stage at age 11 in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, I was entranced by the challenge of inhabiting someone completely different from myself. When I received a full scholarship to a local private school after a teacher saw my performance as Piggy in Lord of the Flies, I knew I had found one of my life’s great passions. Having now starred in over 30 productions, including 2 for Indiana University’s Mainstage, I hope to take many more bows in the years to come.

When not in a traditional play, I can often by found performing sketch comedy with my friends. While these shows are certainly less polished and professional than stage plays, I’ve found that the process of putting the shows together by scratch has taught me many great skills in regards to planning, collaboration, and time management. Writing sketches (and the occasional standup set) has given me a consistent way to grow my writing skills, and brainstorming ideas with my friends has primed me for the fast-paced environment which a copywriter thrives in.
